Buddhist meditation in Greece

Diamond Way Buddhist Centers in Greece

If you would like to learn to meditate and hear more about Buddhism, visit one of our four Diamond Way Buddhist Centers in Greece.

Both centers in the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki offer mediation evenings several times a week open for everyone and free of charge. If you want to meditate at one of the retreat places, contact the responsible Sangha first (Athens for Karma Berchen Ling, Thessaloniki for Olympus).

The Buddhist Centers in Greece are part of 650 Diamond Way Buddhist centers of the Karma Kagyu lineage. They were established by Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. 16th Karmapa. The centers are under the patronage of H.H. 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje.

Our centers are friendly places where people get easy access to Buddha’s timeless wisdom, meditate together, share experiences and actively participate in the center activities. They are non-monastic and western in style, yet rooted in the lineage of oral transmission going back to the historical Buddha 2,500 years ago.

We invite you to take a look at our regular program and come for one of our public meditation evenings without obligation if you are interested.
