The Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Thessaloniki celebrates its eighth anniversary with lectures, meditation and a party! Tommy Bogs, a student of Lama Ole Nydahl and Diamond Way teacher from Copenhagen, will be with us and talk about topics from Buddhist teachings.

Friday, November 3rd

20:00 – Lecture on «The transmission lineage»

16th Karmapa meditation follows

Participation fee 5€

Saturday, November 4th at 17:30

Public lecture on «Buddhist meditation»

The lecture will take place in cafe «ΖΩΓΙΑ», 54 Alexandrou Svolou str. Thessaloniki

The lecture will be in English with consecutive Greek translation.

Entrance to the public lecture is free.

Sunday, November 5th

18:30 – Lecture on «The Bodhisattva Promise»

I6th Karmapa meditation follows

About Tommy:

Tommy Georg Bogs was born in 1950 in Copenhagen, Denmark. During the 70’s and JO’s he was actively involved in the Danish rock scene as a sound engineer for one of Denmark’s most popular rock bands. After getting in contact with Buddhism he took refuge with Shamar Rinpoche in 1981. In 1986 he met Lama Ole Nydahl and moved to the Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Copenhagen, which he helped to run for the next eight years. He took part in several Lama Ole Nydahl’s tours around the world and in 1995, at Lama Ole’s request, he started traveling and teaching. Tommy has given lectures in the US, Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.Tommy has 3 children, 3 grandchildren and lives today very close to the Buddhist Center in Copenhagen together with his wife, Linda.
